Contract: 30 Weeks (Fixed-Term)
Start Date: August
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 30-week church conversion project in Halifax, transforming a historic church into high-quality townhouses. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Site Manager with experience delivering refurbishment, heritage, or residential conversion projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day running of the site.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site activities.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
• Maintain site records and liaise with the project team, client, and local authorities where required.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation.
Essential Requirements
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS Manager Card
• First Aid at Work certificate
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or refurbishment/conversion projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable
• Experience working on heritage or listed building projects.
• Temporary Works knowledge.
• Fire Marshal training.
• Supportive and professional working environment.
