A growing M&E contractor in Yeovil is looking for an all‑singing, all‑dancing Office Manager — someone who doesn’t just “do admin”, but owns the office. You’ll be the heartbeat of the operation: organising people, tightening processes, keeping projects moving, and making sure the team can actually get on with their jobs without chaos creeping in.

This isn’t a passive role. They want a grafter, a thinker, a doer — someone who takes pride in running a tight ship.

What you’ll be doing

* Running the office day‑to‑day like an absolute pro

* Keeping diaries, schedules, project paperwork and compliance in line

* Supporting engineers, project managers and directors with whatever they need to stay productive

* Managing incoming enquiries, calls, emails and client communication

* Handling purchasing, raising POs, chasing suppliers and keeping stock organised

* Keeping documentation, certifications and job files up to date and audit‑ready

* Spotting inefficiencies and tightening processes — no “that’s how we’ve always done it” vibes

* Being the go‑to person who knows what’s happening, when, and with who

What you’ll need

* Strong Office Manager experience — ideally in construction, engineering or building services

* A natural organiser who thrives on structure, clarity and efficiency

* Confidence dealing with suppliers, clients, engineers and senior leadership

* Solid IT skills (Office 365, scheduling systems, CRM, etc.)

* A proactive mindset — someone who sees what needs doing and just gets on with it

* A bit of personality. They’re a friendly bunch and want someone who fits the vibe
