The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. You will also provide administrative support to the wider Finance team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
*
Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
*
Creating and processing supplier payments.
*
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries.
*
Maintaining Accounts Payable records and filing systems.
*
Answering telephone enquiries professionally and promptly.
*
Managing incoming and outgoing mail.
*
Monitoring and ordering stationery and office consumables.
*
Supporting the Financial Controller with finance administration and reporting requirements.
*
Assisting with the preparation of information for monthly management reports.
*
Providing cover across the finance function during periods of absence or annual leave.
*
Participating in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
About You
*
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
*
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*
A proactive approach and willingness to support wider business needs.
