Accountant / Assistant Accountant – Urgent Hire

£35,000–£40,000 + Benefits | Chesterfield | In‑Person | Early Friday Finish

Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a well‑established and successful SME in Chesterfield. This is a hands‑on role offering variety, responsibility and excellent development under a supportive Finance Director.

Role Responsibilities

Purchase ledger and sales ledger

*

Bank reconciliations

*

VAT returns

*

Month‑end close support

*

Recharges, data entry and general finance administration

*

Support with management accounts as experience develops

Candidate Requirements

*

Experience in purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT and reconciliations

*

AAT studying or qualified

*

Confident using Sage and Excel

*

Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

*

Proactive approach and comfortable working in a small finance team

*

Ideally available to start within the next four weeks
