Transport & Warehouse Administrator
Are you an organised and proactive administrator with experience in transport, logistics or warehousing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? My Client based in Chesterfield S44 is looking for you!
As their Transport & Warehouse Administrator you will support the smooth day-to-day running of its busy transport and warehouse operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading business that values teamwork, development and exceptional customer service.
The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis.
The Role
As a Transport & Warehouse Administrator, you'll be at the heart of the operation, ensuring transport schedules run efficiently, warehouse administration is completed accurately, and customers receive the high levels of service they're accustomed to.
Working closely with drivers, warehouse colleagues and the management team, you'll play a key role in supporting the efficient movement of stock and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Transport and Warehouse teams.
Plan and coordinate transport schedules and driver paperwork.
Process delivery notes, goods received, and proof of delivery documentation.
Maintain accurate stock and transport records using internal systems.
Liaise with drivers, customers and internal departments regarding deliveries and collections.
Monitor vehicle paperwork and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
Support warehouse operations with inventory administration and reporting.
Investigate delivery queries and resolve customer issues efficiently.
Produce reports and maintain accurate operational data.
Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in line with company procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous experience within a transport, logistics, warehouse or distribution administration role.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using warehouse or transport management systems (desirable).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
The ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach and a willingness to support the wider team.
