We are looking for a Plater for a permanent position based with our client in Chesterfield

Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)

Rate of pay is £17.94 per hour for basic hours

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm (4 day working week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment. Ie Bridges, staircases, gantries. (Road & Rail)
Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
Welding to a high quality.
Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed:

Confident plater or fabricator
Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications
Confident MIG Welder
Experience operating fabrication machinery
Must have worked within a heavy steel industry
Confident working from engineering drawings from scratchNVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding or Plating would be expected.
