4 Days per Week – Monday to Thursday, 06:00 – 16:30

Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate

Due to continued growth and an increase in workload, they are looking to recruit an experienced Plater to join their skilled workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a stable business working on varied and technically challenging projects.
The Job Role Position:
Due to expansion and increased demand, the company is now recruiting for an experienced Plater to join their fabrication team.
Responsibilities include:
• Working from engineering drawings to mark out, cut, shape and prepare steel components.
• Plating and fabricating heavy-duty steel structures and assemblies.
• Measuring, marking and fitting steelwork accurately to specification.
• Using workshop equipment including burning equipment, grinders and fabrication tools.
• Tack welding and preparing components for welding operations.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required tolerances.
• Working safely while handling large and heavy fabricated components.
• Maintaining quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
The Candidate:
• The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Plater within a heavy fabrication or engineering environment.
• Must have experience working with heavy-duty steelwork and large fabricated structures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
• Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, marking out and fitting.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and workshop equipment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a skilled fabrication team.
• Experience within structural steel, fabrication, heavy engineering or similar industries would be advantageous.
Licence/Certification Required:
• No specific licences required, however relevant fabrication qualifications would be advantageous.
