Job Overview:
This school caters for students aged 11-16.
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Humanities Teacher role.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4, teaching a combination of History, Geography and, where appropriate, Religious Studies.
Inspire students through creative and thought-provoking teaching that develops analytical skills, curiosity and independent thinking.
Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment and positive outcomes.
Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive.
Encourage discussion, debate, enquiry and investigative learning while helping students make connections between people, places, cultures and historical events.
This Humanities Teacher role in Harlow offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and ambitious school that values both student achievement and staff development.
What we're looking for:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A degree in History, Geography, Humanities or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching Humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school.
The ability to teach History and/or Geography confidently, with experience of additional Humanities subjects being advantageous.
A passion for Humanities and the ability to engage, motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
