Job Description
As a Toolmaker / Die Maintenance Technician, you will be at the heart of the production operation. Your key responsibilities will include:
* In-press tooling breakdown and die/tool maintenance.
* Preventative die and tool maintenance to maximise production efficiencies.
* Resolving pressing quality issues quickly and effectively.
* Welding — TIG, MIG, and ARC.
* General bench fitting.
* Daily record keeping and following standardised SOPs.
* Root cause analysis and contributing to continuous improvement.
* Tooling commissioning and die modification / engineering change activities.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* A relevant apprenticeship in Engineering or Toolmaking.
* ONC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance or an Engineering discipline.
* Preventative die/tool maintenance experience.
* Experience with presses, machining, and welding.
* An understanding of Lean Practices.
