The client is a renowned and leading designer and manufacturers custom, high-performance ceramic components.
They are seeking to recruit a Toolmaker for their busy operations in the Stourport area.
The role is on Days – Monday to Thursday (39 hours a week)
Salary £38k-£44k per annum
Duties and key responsibilities;
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine required materials, tools and processes
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, such as lathe, milling machines, grinders and CNC equipment, to produce precision parts and tools
Assemble, fit and adjust parts to ensure proper function and finish of tools and dies
Maintain and repair existing tools, dies, moulds and fixtures to ensure ongoing production efficiency
Inspect finished tools and components for accuracy, quality and adherence to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometres, gauges and callipers
Liaise with engineers, design team and production to improve tool designs and resolve any issues
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and time spent on each job
Experience and skills required
Able to maintain and build tooling and dies
Competent with CNC machinery
Able to safely use machinery and cutting equipment such as millers, lathes, grinders and all conventional toolroom machinery
Able to understand and interpret technical drawings
Able to work within tight tolerances
Continuous improvement mentality
The role is based in Stourport so would easily be commutable from Kidderminster, Worcester, Droitwich, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge
