Life assurance (5x basic salary)The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a growing engineering manufacturing business. Working as part of the Quality team, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet both internal and customer quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
This position would suit an experienced inspector with a strong engineering background and excellent attention to detail.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection
Conduct first-off and 100% inspections throughout the manufacturing process
Inspect and assess components at various production stages
Produce and communicate inspection reportsGoods Inwards Inspection
Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications
Support sample approvals, First Article Inspection (FAI), and New Product Introduction (NPI) activitiesCalibration
Organise and carry out calibration of measuring equipment and tooling
Ensure calibration schedules are maintained and adhered toQuality Support
Support Quality Engineers with dimensional inspections and non-conformance investigations
Assist in the operation of the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process
Support engineering change activities and quality improvement initiativesCompliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS)
Maintain accurate quality records and reporting
Promote high standards of health, safety, and housekeepingWhat We're Looking ForEssential Skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
Understanding of weld symbols and weld inspection
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable Skills & Experience
Calibration of measuring equipment and tooling (e.g. torque wrenches, pressure gauges)
Experience using CMM equipment (e.g. Faro)
Engineering, automotive, or manufacturing inspection experience
Experience with Goods-In inspection, FAI, production inspection, and non-conformance investigations
IT skills including Microsoft Office and SAP
