Mechanical Shift Engineer
Location: City of London
Salary: £53,000 per annum + £1,500 allowance upon completion of Mechanical AP training
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift – Days & Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a leading facilities management team based in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking to develop their career within a prestigious commercial environment.
As the Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for providing planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, ensuring all building services systems operate efficiently and safely. You will work as part of a dedicated engineering team, supporting the smooth running of a critical site.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete Mechanical Authorised Person (AP) training, with an additional £1,500 salary uplift awarded upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
* Monitor and maintain HVAC, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical plant
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard
* Support compliance with health & safety procedures and site requirements
* Assist with the development and improvement of site engineering standards
Requirements:
* Mechanical engineering background within commercial building services or facilities management
* Recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Experience working on commercial sites is desirable
* Willingness to undertake Mechanical AP training
