Teaching Assistant Opportunity - KS2 Intervention Support
A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a proactive Teaching Assistant to support targeted intervention programmes across Key Stage 2.
This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping pupils build confidence and close learning gaps. Working alongside class teachers and the school's inclusion team, you will deliver structured intervention sessions in reading, writing and mathematics, supporting pupils who would benefit from additional academic guidance.
The successful Teaching Assistant will become an integral part of the KS2 team, helping pupils make strong progress while promoting independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions across Key Stage 2
Support pupils with literacy, numeracy and comprehension activities
Reinforce classroom learning through targeted academic support
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Encourage confidence, resilience and independent learning
Help create a calm, focused and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience working with primary-aged children
Is confident delivering targeted learning interventions
Has good literacy and numeracy skills
Can motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
Is organised, reliable and works well as part of a teamPrevious experience in a school or intervention-based role would be advantageous but is not essential.
