Quality Engineer – Aerospace
Denham | £52,000 | Permanent | Days
A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is looking for a Quality Engineer to join its Inspection and Quality team. This is a hands-on role focused on First Article Inspection and patrol inspection activity in a safety-critical manufacturing environment, working alongside inspection, manufacturing, and quality colleagues to ensure products meet specification, customer requirements, and AS9100 standards.
What you'll be doing:
Planning and conducting First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
Completing, reviewing, and signing off FAI reports for assemblies and customer deliverables
Carrying out patrol inspection audits across manufacturing areas in line with internal procedures
Producing audit reports, metrics, and corrective action tracking for inspection activity
Raising non-conformance reports where required and supporting follow-up actions
Driving continuous improvement within inspection and FAI processes
Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality data
Using QMS and business systems to support reporting and analysis
Supporting the wider inspection team as required
What you need:
Background in manufacturing or engineering
Experience in a quality, inspection, or quality engineering role
Solid understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Confident working with data, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools
Comfortable working in a regulated, safety-critical environment
Aerospace experience desirable - strong quality or inspection experience from another technical manufacturing background will also be considered

Days: 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu / 08:00–12:00 Fri
