The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Work alongside teachers and SEN teams to support individual learning and development.
Implement personalised support strategies and interventions.
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
Support positive behaviour and help pupils develop essential social and emotional skills.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school, specialist setting, or similar environment.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
A good understanding of safeguarding and supporting children with additional needs.
Relevant qualifications or experience in education, childcare, health, or support work (desirable).
