Sheet Metal Worker

A medium sized aerospace company based in Basildon are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker.

We are looking for someone who has experience in aerospace or automotive sectors as a Sheet Metal worker, using fabricating machines such as fly presses, brakes presses, guillotines, band saws etc. Previous experience in precision engineering / manufacturing settings is essential.

The hourly rate is £18.59 working 6am to 6pm on a 4 day week, Monday to Thursday. Overtime is paid at x1.5.

PensionSheet Metal Worker duties:-

Setting up and using a fly press
Setting up to operate fabricating machines including brake press, guillotine and band saws to cut, bend and straighten metal
You will be shaping metals using hand tools and machine including stretch forming, rubber press, brake presses etc
You will be deburring and drilling amongst other sheet metal duties
Lay out, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials/panels according to drawings or templates using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares and rulers
You will be working with aluminium and some mild steel and stainless steels
Adhere and follow ISO 9001 proceduresThis is a permanent role to work in a fantastic and well kept facility.
