Location: St Helens
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

We are recruiting for an experienced CMM Inspector to join a well-established and expanding precision engineering business in the St Helens area.
The company manufactures high-precision components, tooling and engineering solutions for demanding industries including aerospace, automotive and medical. The Role
As CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting precision-engineered components throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring all products meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Programming, setting and operating CMM equipment
* Producing and updating CMM inspection programmes
* Completing first-off, in-process and final inspections
* Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
* Inspecting precision-machined components using a range of measuring equipment
* Recording inspection results and producing quality documentation
* Identifying and reporting non-conforming components
* Supporting investigations into quality issues
* Working closely with production and engineering teams
* Contributing to continuous improvement across the quality department
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Previous experience working as a CMM Inspector or CMM Programmer
* Experience using PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS or similar CMM software
* A background within precision engineering, machining or manufacturing
* Strong engineering drawing interpretation skills
* Experience using manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers and height gauges
* A good understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality standards
* Strong attention to detail
