The Opportunity
Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for more than just reactive maintenance?
We are recruiting for an experienced engineer to join a well-invested manufacturing site where you'll play a key role in maintaining, improving, and developing a range of modern automated production equipment.
This position offers a genuine opportunity to become involved in engineering projects, equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement activities alongside your day-to-day maintenance responsibilities. You'll work within a highly skilled engineering team that actively encourages engineers to contribute ideas, drive improvements, and take ownership of technical solutions.
With significant investment across the site, this is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving, and being involved in shaping the future performance of the plant.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing and automation equipment
Diagnosing and rectifying complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-related faults
Supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and capital investment projects
Contributing to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving OEE
Investigating recurring equipment issues using root cause analysis techniques
Assisting with machine modifications and engineering improvement projects
Working with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve plant performance
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standardsThe role offers a true multi-skilled split, typically around 50/50 or 60/40 electrical/mechanical, depending on your background.

We're keen to speak with apprentice-trained engineers from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds including:

Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Strong fault-finding abilities across electrical and mechanical systems
Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Knowledge of pneumatics and automated machinery
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable Experience
PLC fault-finding and diagnostics
Robotics or vision systems
Machining experience
Automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
Continuous improvement, TPM, Lean or reliability engineering projects
