Duties
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical plant and equipment
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across production machinery and site services
Maintaining motors, drives, control panels, inverters, sensors, relays, switchgear, and associated systems
Completing electrical inspections, testing, and servicing to maximise equipment reliability
Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production performance
Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems
Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Maintaining accurate engineering records and reporting recurring issuesYou will ideally have:
A recognised electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, control systems, sensors, and industrial electrical equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
