As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving site operations, ensuring machinery and production equipment remains reliable, efficient, and safe.

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across production machinery and site systems
Maintaining pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Completing inspections, servicing, adjustments, and mechanical improvements
Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency
Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Carrying out mechanical repairs, component replacements, alignment, and lubrication tasks
Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
Maintaining accurate service records and reporting recurring faultsWe are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and improving equipment reliability.

You will ideally have:

A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
Experience working with pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
