An exciting opportunity has become available for a Deputy Manager to join a luxury, purpose-built elderly care home in Chelmsford. This role offers the chance to work alongside an experienced General Manager within a high-end setting, supporting the delivery of exceptional person-centred care while leading and developing a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving quality, compliance, operational performance and resident satisfaction for a provider committed to delivering outstanding standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
* Support occupancy, customer experience and commercial performance.
* Lead, motivate and develop department heads and wider care teams.
* Ensure exceptional, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
* Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards.
* Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
* Assist with budget management, rota planning and resource allocation.
* Drive continuous improvement through coaching, supervision and performance management.
About You
* Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead or senior management role within elderly care.
* Nurse with current NMC preferred but not essential.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Sound understanding of CQC regulations and quality governance.
* Commercially aware with excellent organisational skills.
* Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and developing others.
