Veritas Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Bolton seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teachers for opportunities starting in September.

Whether you are an experienced Food Technology specialist or an ECT looking to begin your teaching career, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop essential culinary skills, nutritional understanding and creativity within the kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
Prepare practical lessons and manage classroom resources effectively.
Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and a passion for food preparation and nutrition.
Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A passion for inspiring young people and raising achievement.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
