Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Wigan to recruit a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a September start.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about food, nutrition, and practical learning. The successful candidate will join a well-established Design & Technology department and inspire students to develop essential culinary skills, creativity, and knowledge of healthy living.
The Role
Teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress.
Creating a safe and positive learning environment within the food technology classroom.
Promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
Contributing to the wider life of the department and school.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
Strong communication and organisational skills.ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
