Portfolio HR & Reward are partnered with a reputable professional services organisation who due to continued growth are looking for to recruit an Employee Benefits Consultant to work across a diverse, and exciting portfolio of clients.
The role will involve:
Client Consultation
Engage with employers to understand their business objectives, culture, and employee needs.
Analyse any existing benefit programmes and identify areas for improvement.
Provide expert guidance on benefits strategy, including plan design, cost management, and compliance.
We also want you to help shape the proposition going forward as detailed in Key accountabilities
Key accountabilities:
Benefits Programme Design and Implementation
Develop tailored employee benefits packages that align with client requirements.
Research and present suitable benefits providers, products, and services.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement benefits programmes effectively.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, such as pension auto-enrolment and GDPR. Communication and Education
Create clear and engaging communication materials to educate employees about their benefits.
Contribute to the overall marketing strategy of the department and commit to creating thought leadership work on behalf of the Employee Benefits Department.
Conduct employee workshops, webinars, and presentations to explain benefits options and answer questions. Support Clients in Implementing Effective Employee Engagement Strategies Related to Benefits Programmes, Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect and analyse relevant data, such as claims experience, utilisation rates, and employee feedback.
Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within employee benefits programmes.
Generate reports and provide insights to clients, enabling them to make data-driven decisions. Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge
Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Ensure benefits programmes comply with legal requirements, such as pension scheme regulations and their associated tax regulations.
Guide clients on compliance matters and assist with audits and assessments, as needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Degree educated in a human resource, business administration, financial services discipline, or a related field.
Excellent listening skills.
Be self-driven and pro-active.
The ability to work effectively as part of a larger national team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using benefits administration software and tools.
