Position: Engineering Manager
Location: Warrington or Abingdon (flexible with location)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Hybrid: 2 days in the office and 3 days home working

Engineering Manager
This role leads a multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering complex design work packages, including specification, analysis, verification, and technical assessment activities across regulated nuclear projects.
You will oversee delivery of specialist nuclear design work, including glovebox systems used for R&D and analysis involving sensitive nuclear materials, for a range of UK clients. Experience in glovebox design, commissioning, or operations within nuclear environments is highly beneficial, as is exposure to SNM/MOX facilities.
The role is based in Warrington or Abingdon (hybrid) and includes work on UK defence-related programmes, so eligibility for security vetting is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate engineering delivery across multi-discipline teams
Ensure designs are safe, compliant, fit for purpose, and delivered to cost and schedule
Manage technical, safety, and engineering risks
Oversee progress reporting and governance approvals
Ensure correct engineering standards and competent resource allocation
Engage SMEs and ensure lessons learned are captured and applied
Support design reviews and technical approval processes

Requirements
BEng (Hons) minimum (MEng preferred)
Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred or equivalent experience
7+ years engineering experience, including 5+ years in regulated environments (nuclear preferred)
Strong engineering design and governance experience
Experience leading or contributing to design reviews and technical approvals
Must be eligible for UK security clearance
