Quality Engineer
Yolk Recruitment are supporting an established South Wales manufacturer with the recruitment of a Quality Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer looking to join a growing business where they can make a real impact while developing their career.
Working closely with the Quality team, you'll take ownership of quality assurance activities across manufacturing, ensuring products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory and industry standards. This is a varied role offering exposure to customers, suppliers, audits, continuous improvement and quality systems, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience and influence.
As a Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
Leading quality assurance activities across manufacturing processes and the product lifecycle.
Ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Working closely with customers and suppliers to understand quality expectations and ensure successful delivery.
Supporting and developing the Quality team through training and knowledge sharing.
Leading process and equipment capability assessments to improve manufacturing performance.
Managing internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
Driving corrective and preventive actions, ensuring root causes are identified and improvements are implemented.
Working with cross-functional teams including production and engineering to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Developing systems to improve communication of quality issues across departments.
Championing a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
Ensuring quality requirements are maintained throughout the product journey, from design through to production and launch. This is what you'll need:
Experience working within a similar quality-focused role in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
Experience managing quality audits, compliance and corrective actions And this is what you'll get:
