Talent STEM are partnering with an established chemical manufacturer to recruit a Temporary QC Analyst to support their Quality Control laboratory during a busy production period.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QC Analyst to join a busy manufacturing laboratory, carrying out routine analytical testing to support production and ensure products consistently meet quality standards.

The Opportunity

Working as part of the Quality Control team, you will perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products using a range of analytical techniques. This is a hands-on laboratory role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

- Operate GC, HPLC, FTIR and Karl Fischer instrumentation.

- Carry out wet chemistry techniques including titrations.

- Prepare samples, standards and reagents.

- Record, review and report analytical results accurately.

- Support investigations into out-of-specification results.

- Maintain laboratory equipment and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality, HSE and COSHH procedures.

- Work closely with production and technical teams to support manufacturing.

About You

To be considered, you should have:

- A BSc (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.

- Previous experience within a QC or analytical laboratory.

- Essential: Hands-on industrial experience operating both GC and HPLC.

- Experience using FTIR and Karl Fischer would be advantageous.

- Wet chemistry experience, including titrations.

- Strong attention to detail and good laboratory documentation skills.

- A good understanding of laboratory safety and quality procedures.

- The ability to work effectively within a busy laboratory environment.
