Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:45pm - 6:00am (finishing Saturday morning) (Permanent Nights)
Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well establshed and growing food manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes.
As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of food production machinery and site equipment. Working as part of the engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
Maintain and support a range of food manufacturing equipment including ovens, steamers, chillers, processing machinery, conveyors and automated systems.
Work closely with production teams to maximise machine availability and improve operational efficiency.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation.
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
Electrically biased Maintenance Engineering background.
17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification (or equivalent).
A proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
Ability to work independently and make effective decisions during night shifts.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
Machine operating/minding experience is desirable.
Welding/fabrication experience is desirable.
Experience working with steam equipment is desirable.What's On Offer:
