Good Tips (TRONC)

There's never been a more challenging time for the hospitality industry - or more opportunities for hard-working, reliable chefs.

We are working with a respected, industry-leading client to help staff their kitchen with the next generation of professional cooks. This is the kind of kitchen that will stand you in good stead for a career in hospitality.

Positive energy, reliability, hard work and a willingness to learn are the most crucial qualities for success in the industry right now - if you have Chef de Partie experience or good Commis Chef experience in a similar, high-volume role, we would love to hear from you.

If you believe you have all the right qualities, but haven't managed to get the experience yet, get in touch - character and ambition go a long way right now.

The Role

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your section and ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard. You'll work closely with the wider kitchen team to maintain smooth service and uphold kitchen standards. You'll bring, and also learn, technique, recipes, speed of work and dedication to consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing your section during prep and service
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
- Supporting and guiding junior team members
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
- Assisting with stock control and reducing waste
- Contributing to menu ideas and daily specials

Non-negotiables

- Experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to progress
- Professional attitude - hard-working, well-presented, a team player
- Desire to learn and grow as a chef
- Eye for details and consistency
- Strong interest in real food and good cooking

What's on Offer

- Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour and great tips that reflect the hard work expected of staff
- Flexible full-time hours (35-45 per week)
- Opportunity to develop within a supportive kitchen team
- Career progression within a respected Edinburgh venue

If you're serious about building a career in cooking and feel ready to test yourself in a demanding, but rewarding kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.
