Maintenance & Facilities Engineer
Location: Wigston
Commutable from: Leicester, Wigston, Oadby, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Loughborough.
Hours: Monday to Friday | Rotating Mornings & Afternoons
* Week 1: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
* Week 2: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday)
Starting Salary: £43,000 P/A + £3,000 Shift Allowance
Realistic Earnings: £47,000+ P/A (Bonus & Overtime)

The Role: Maintenance & Facilities Engineer
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the automated distribution centre and head office.
* Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, carrying out fault finding and repairs.
* Maintain conveyor systems, sortation equipment, pallet wrappers, barcode scanners, automatic doors and associated control systems.
* Complete electrical testing, repairs, upgrades and installation projects across the facility.
* Support facilities maintenance including lighting, fire alarms, CCTV, sprinkler systems, cabling and general building services.
* Assist with continuous improvement projects and site upgrades.
* Work closely with the wider engineering team to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Entry Requirements
Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.
Experience:
* Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Facilities Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer.
* Backgrounds considered include Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, FMCG, Warehousing or Automated Material Handling.
* Experience maintaining automated machinery and electrical systems.
Skills:
* Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
* Mechanical maintenance experience.
* Comfortable carrying out both facilities and production equipment maintenance.
* A proactive approach with good communication skills.
