A global engineering group is expanding its operations with the launch of a new technology and manufacturing plant in the UK. As the business enters the production phase of an innovative electrification product designed for use in the aerospace, automotive, marine and rail sectors, an exciting opportunity is now live for an Operations & Quality Manager to join its rapidly growing team. You will lead the quality management activities and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of prototype and low-volume manufacturing. Applicants are sought with experience in operations & quality management gained in a low volume high technology-based sector.

The Role

Lead and manage day-to-day operations to ensure targets are achieved safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Develop, implement and maintain quality management systems and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.

Support prototype and production manufacturing activities for low volume electrification products.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste and improve overall operational performance.

Investigate quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions.

Work closely with planning, engineering and supply chain teams to optimise production processes.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Manage audits, customer inspections and supplier quality activities.

Support prototype and production manufacturing activities for low volume electrification products.

The Person

Proven experience in operations and quality management position within a high technology-based sector.

Experience supporting low-volume manufacturing and prototype operations.

Experience working within manufacturing or engineering environments involving electro-mechanical or electrical systems preferred.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.

A hands-on approach with the ability to prioritise and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
