About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Temporary Electrician to join our team on a substation construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, supporting the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in a safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Install electrical containment, cabling, and associated equipment.
* Carry out termination and connection of LV and control wiring.
* Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
* Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all site health and safety procedures.
* Report progress and any issues to the Site Supervisor.
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* ECS Gold Card (or equivalent electrical competency card).
* Previous experience working on substations, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications
* National Grid Persons or Competent Person authorisation.
* High Voltage (HV) experience.
* SSSTS or SMSTS.
* First Aid at Work.
* IPAF and/or PASMA.
* Full UK driving licence.
