Salary: £16.50 per hour + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full Time – 160 hours per month

Diamond Search Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of specialist children's residential care for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a residential home supporting children and young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager to join a supportive organisation that is passionate about delivering exceptional care and creating positive outcomes for young people.

The Role

Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the home, supporting the team to provide outstanding, child-centred care in a safe, stable and therapeutic environment.

You will help ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations while promoting the wellbeing, development and independence of the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home.

* Lead, motivate and supervise the residential care team.

* Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

* Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service.

* Assist with care planning, risk assessments and placement reviews.

* Support compliance with Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations.

* Participate in the management on-call rota where required.

* Build positive relationships with families, local authorities and external professionals.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

* Experience working within a Children's Residential Home.

* Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager.

* A Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).

* QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or a willingness to work towards the qualification.

* A good understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and children's legislation.

* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

* A full UK driving licence is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

* £16.50 per hour

* £5.00 per hour overtime rate

* £45.00 per sleep-in

* Full-time contract – 160 hours per month
