Location: Melksham, Wiltshire
Salary: £16.50 per hour + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full Time – 160 hours per month

Diamond Search Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected provider of children's residential care for an experienced Deputy Manager to join one of their specialist homes supporting children and young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Residential Support Worker or an existing Deputy Manager looking to develop their career with an organisation that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help lead and inspire the staff team to deliver outstanding, child-centred care in a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.

You will support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, compliance and positive outcomes for the young people.

Responsibilities

* Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home.

* Lead, motivate and develop the staff team.

* Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

* Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.

* Support care planning, risk assessments and placement planning.

* Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies.

* Participate in the on-call rota as required.

* Build positive relationships with families, professionals and external agencies.

Requirements

* Experience working within a Children's Residential Home.

* Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager.

* Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) is essential.

* QCF Level 5 Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards it).

* Good understanding of safeguarding, children's legislation and Ofsted standards.

* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Salary & Benefits

* £16.50 per hour

* £5,000 Joining Bonus

* £65 per sleep-in

* £5 per hour for overtime

* Full-time contract – 160 hours per month
