Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent or Fixed-Term Considered
Are you a committed Science Teacher who enjoys inspiring curiosity, encouraging investigation, and helping young people understand the world through hands-on learning and discovery?

We are working in partnership with a progressive and welcoming secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher from September 2026. This is a full-time position available on either a permanent or fixed-term basis, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the school.
This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative Science department where high expectations, teamwork, and student progress are key priorities.
About the Role
Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available in some contexts
Design and deliver well-planned lessons that build scientific knowledge, skills, and curiosity
Bring Science to life through practical experiments and investigative learning
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, offering clear and supportive feedback
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
Support extra-curricular opportunities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, and trips
Work closely with colleagues to share resources and strengthen teaching practice
We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Science teaching
The ability to engage, support, and challenge learners of all abilities
Effective classroom management with a calm and consistent approach
A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
ECTs are encouraged to apply and will be fully supported through induction and mentoring
