Manufacturing Engineer | Competitive Hourly / Daily Rate | Likely IR35 Friendly | Early Friday Finish

A contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support an established manufacturing business with a process improvement programme. The successful contractor will focus on standardising work instructions and control plans, mapping manufacturing processes, identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions to improve efficiency, quality and consistency across the site.

Overview -

Working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams, you will drive continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations. This role would suit Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Continuous Improvement Engineers, and Quality Engineers who enjoy delivering hands-on improvements within fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include:

Standardising work instructions, control plans and manufacturing documentation.
Producing process maps to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Identifying manufacturing issues and delivering practical, data-driven engineering solutions.
Leading Lean and Continuous Improvement projects to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.
Monitoring KPIs and analysing manufacturing data to drive measurable improvements.Manufacturing Engineer desirable skills and experience:

Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer etc.
Proven experience standardising work instructions, control plans and manufacturing processes.
Strong process mapping and continuous improvement experience within manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, Degree, Apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.What's on offer for this Manufacturing Engineer role:
