A Manufacturing Engineer opportunity has become available within an established advanced manufacturing business supplying highly engineered products to demanding industries. As part of an ongoing focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement, the company is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of an experienced engineering professional.
Working closely with engineering, quality and operations teams, you will take ownership of process improvement activities across manufacturing and business operations. The role would suit Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Continuous Improvement Engineers and Quality Engineers with experience driving process improvements within manufacturing environments.
Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include:
* Analysing manufacturing and business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
* Leading continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving techniques.
* Developing and maintaining process documentation, procedures and standard operating instructions.
* Conducting root cause investigations and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitoring process performance through KPIs and data analysis to drive measurable improvements.
* Supporting internal audits, change management activities and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Manufacturing Engineer desirable skills and experience:
* Experience delivering process improvement or continuous improvement projects within a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
* Experience using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other problem-solving methodologies.
* Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, Degree, Apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
Manufacturing Engineer benefits include:
* Salary circa £45,000+ depending on experience.
* Flexible start and finish times.
* Early finish every Friday (1pm finish).
