- Location: 100% remote from the EU (UK is NOT considered EU)

We are looking for an experienced BDD Tester Architect to support a remote project focused on building and operating an AI-supported software development platform.
This is a part time project role, ideal for a senior test automation specialist or test architect with strong BDD experience.
Role overview
You will be responsible for setting up and supporting Cucumber-based integration tests, automated through Jenkins and managed through Jira. The role requires someone who can design and implement a structured BDD testing approach rather than simply execute test cases.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and structure Cucumber/BDD integration tests.
- Create and maintain Gherkin-based test scenarios and step definitions.
- Integrate automated tests into Jenkins pipelines.
- Work with Jira tickets, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the test automation architecture for integration testing.
- Collaborate with technical teams working across Back End, cloud, and AI-supported development environments.
Mandatory experience
- Strong experience with BDD/Behaviour Driven Development.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, Behave, or closely related BDD tooling.
- Experience setting up or designing test automation frameworks.
- Experience with automated integration testing.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ideally Jenkins.
- Ability to work independently in a senior/architect-level testing role.
Nice to have
- Selenium experience.
- App testing experience.
- Python experience, especially with Behave or Python-based automation.
- Jenkins pipeline experience.
- Jira test workflow experience.
- AI, LLM, GenAI, or AI-assisted development platform knowledge.
- Backend, API, cloud, or microservices testing experience.
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be a senior BDD Test Automation Architect or QA Automation Architect who has previously designed and implemented BDD test frameworks using Cucumber/Gherkin/Behave, integrated automated tests into Jenkins, and worked with Jira-based requirements or acceptance criteria.
