We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Daventry that is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its team from September 2026. The Role

Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs

Supporting students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and other special educational needs (SEN)

Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and differentiated learning activities

Encouraging student confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom

Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students' emotional wellbeing throughout the school day

Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate

Has a genuine passion for supporting young people, particularly those with SEN

Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach

Builds strong relationships with students, staff, and parents through excellent communication skills

Is reliable, flexible, and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team

Experience in education, SEN, care, youth work, or a similar setting is desirable but not essential

Is enthusiastic about learning new skills and developing a long-term career within education
