Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant | Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
We are looking for a caring and patient Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school, working with pupils who require additional support to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs.
Adapt learning activities to suit individual pupils.
Support emotional regulation and behaviour using positive reinforcement and consistent strategies.
Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social development.
Assist with interventions designed to improve literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to implement personalised support strategies.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements
✔ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
✔ Recent UK school-based experience within the last 2 years is essential.
✔ Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable.
✔ Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
✔ A calm, patient, and flexible approach.
