New Directions are currently recruiting for an SEND Teacher for a Primary school Nurture Provision. The role is based in a separate provision which is set apart from the main primary school. There are a small group of children based in the setting and there is also a TA in there to support. The ideal candidate will be someone who is confident working with KS1 and KS2 children who have difficulties with communication and interaction. ECTS/ HLTAS will be considered

* Delivers a broad and inclusive curriculum with a strong focus on reading, knowledge-building, and developing independent, confident learners.
* Promotes a supportive ethos with high expectations, fostering pupils’ wellbeing, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
The Role:
* Plans and delivers tailored, differentiated learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
* Provides targeted interventions and 1:1 or small-group support, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Works collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals to monitor progress, implement support plans (e.g. EHCPs), and ensure inclusive practice.
The Candidate:
* Holds QTS / HLTA qualification
* Experience working with children with additional needs including communication and interaction in KS1/ KS2
