Job title: Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher

The Education Specialists (TES) are seeking an experienced and committed Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher to join a school in Manchester, supporting pupils with Challenging Behaviour and additional needs to access learning and achieve their potential.

This is a full-time, long-term position, working within a specialist Alternative Provision (PRU) provision.

The school has a strong focus on personalised learning and pupil wellbeing, making it an excellent opportunity for a Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact, with children often disenchanted with the education system in a supportive environment.

Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher benefits:
• Competitive daily rate (£160 – £250 per day, dependent on experience)
• PAYE paid weekly
• Long-term stability
• Access to specialist SEN & Challenging Behaviour training and CPD opportunities
• Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement
• £150 refer a friend scheme (T&Cs apply)

Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher role requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND & Challenging Behaviour
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
• Experience supporting needs such as ASD, SEMH, MLD or complex needs
• Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

The successful Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher will:
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
• Support pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
• Work closely with the SENCO and wider support team
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
