Location: Keighley and surrounding areas
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Salary: £51,357 - £56,730 per annum (actual)
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Head of Estates & Facilities to join a successful and growing multi-site education organisation.

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will lead the strategic management of the estate, ensuring all buildings and facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained and support outstanding learning environments. You will oversee estates, facilities, health and safety, statutory compliance, sustainability initiatives and capital projects across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver the organisation's estates and facilities strategy.
Lead on health and safety, risk management and statutory compliance.
Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
Oversee capital projects from planning through to completion.
Manage facilities contracts and external contractors.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and building compliance.
Prepare and manage estates budgets and monitor expenditure.
Develop sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency programmes.
Provide professional advice and reports to senior leaders.

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Significant experience in estates, facilities or property management, preferably within a multi-site environment.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and statutory building compliance.
Experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes and capital projects.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
Experience managing budgets and achieving value for money.
Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estates management systems.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites where required.

Desirable Criteria

Experience working within the education or public sector.
Relevant professional qualification in Estates, Facilities Management, Building Services or a related discipline.
Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IWFM, RICS, CIOB, IOSH or NEBOSH).
Experience leading sustainability or carbon reduction initiatives.
