CNC Miller (4 & 5 Axis)
First Achieve Engineering Recruitment are acting on behalf of our client, a well-established
precision engineering company, to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join their skilled
manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision
components while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and workmanship.
Salary: Up to £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shift (39 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
* Set, operate and programme CNC milling machines.
* Machine precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
* Operate 4 and 5 axis CNC machining centres.
* Select appropriate tooling and machining methods.
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
* Ensure components meet quality standards and tight tolerances.
* Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues where required.
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
* Work effectively to meet production deadlines.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment.
* Experience setting and operating 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience working to fine tolerances.
* Competent using inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers and gauges.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Heidenhain controls would be advantageous.
* Programming experience is desirable.
* Previous experience producing low-volume, high-precision components.
* Time served Apprenticeship in engineering discipline
