Classroom Support is recruiting compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary, secondary and specialist schools in Lambeth.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, adaptable and passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) reach their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLCN and learning difficulties.
Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or within the classroom, helping pupils to build confidence, develop independence and engage in their learning.
Responsibilities

Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
*
Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
*
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
*
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
*
Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEND team.
*
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
*
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
*
A caring, resilient and proactive attitude.
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
