Are you a passionate, qualified Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?
We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher to join a specialist Independent SEN School in Coventry on a full-time, long-term, ongoing basis from September.
The School:
This specialist School is uniquely based within a Children’s Home setting, providing education for young people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism (aged 7–18) in a safe, calm, nurturing and therapeutic environment. Students have access to sensory-friendly indoor and outdoor learning spaces and assistive technology to enhance engagement and accessibility.
Through carefully designed Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) they prioritise personalised learning, ensuring each student receives the tailored support they need to reach their full potential. Their goal is to help students become functionally and emotionally literate young adults, able to safely navigate the world with independence suited to their individual needs.
The Role:
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Work closely with support staff and therapists as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Contribute to IEPs and personalised learning plans
* Support students’ academic, emotional and social development
* Create a positive, structured, and safe learning environment
Ideal Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience of supporting children/young people with SEN, Autism and/or Learning Disabilities
* A patient, therapeutic and adaptable teaching approach
* Commitment to personalised learning and inclusive practice
* A passion for helping young people achieve independence and confidence
