A client of ours in the Haverhill area are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and paying £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
Reporting to the FD, key duties include but are not limited to:
Matching, coding and inputting of invoices
Processing payments
Reconciling supplier statements
Distribution of invoices for approval and filing
Maintaining and reconciling cashbooks to nominal and bank
Raising invoices and posting receipts and credit control
Notifying invoices to and drawing down funds from Invoice Finance system
VAT & duty reconciliations and returns
Coordination of the company pension scheme
General ledger - prepare sales and purchase ledger for month end close
Reconciliation of bank statements and general banking activities
Processing and paying expenses and petty cash maintenance
Supporting quarterly and annual stock taking activitiesSkills and Experience required to be considered for this Accounts Assistant position:
AAT Level 2 accountancy qualified (or equivalent)
2 + years' experience working in an accounts/finance environment
Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confident in using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting systems
Experience with bank and ledger reconciliationsGreat Benefits to working for this company include:
