As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the senior finance team in delivering accurate reporting and maintaining smooth day-to-day finance operations during a period of change.
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end close process
Posting journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
Producing regular financial reports and assisting with variance analysis
Maintaining data accuracy across finance systems
Assisting with audit preparation and compliance activities
Providing wider support across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and transactional finance processesKey Requirements
AAT Level 4 qualified or nearing completion
Experience supporting management accounts and month-end processes
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
Confident Excel skills and experience using accounting systems
High attention to detail with strong organisational ability
Proactive approach with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Comfortable taking on responsibility and supporting senior stakeholders
