Finance Apprentice

Astute Recruitment are delighted to be working with a prestigious organisation in South Derbyshire to recruit a Finance Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in finance and accounting, gaining hands-on experience within a supportive finance team whilst studying towards an AAT qualification. Full training will be provided, alongside one paid day per week dedicated to college or study.

The Role Will Involve:

* Processing purchase invoices and preparing payments

* Posting and allocating cash receipts

* Assisting with bank and ledger reconciliations

* Supporting the billing process for fees and other charges

* Assisting with credit control and maintaining customer accounts

* Providing support across both the purchase and sales ledger

* Assisting with management accounts and year-end audit preparation

* Learning all aspects of the finance function whilst completing an AAT qualification

The Ideal Candidate:

* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)

* A genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance and accountancy

* Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills

* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn

* Confident communication skills

* Ability to work well as part of a small, supportive team

* Previous office or finance experience would be advantageous but is not essential

* Fully office-based in South Derbyshire

* Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (40 hours per week)

* Salary: £16,640 per annum (Apprenticeship Salary)
