Location: Newcastle / Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the UK. Working as part of a growing Cost & Commercial team in the North East, you'll play a key role in delivering projects across a diverse portfolio including education and commercial developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects, develop client relationships, mentor junior team members, and progress their career within a collaborative and forward thinking environment.

The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering both pre and post-contract quantity surveying services, whilst ensuring commercial objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
Managing project costs, budgets and financial reporting.
Producing cost estimates and monitoring project expenditure.
Managing contractor and supplier valuations, payments and final accounts.
Supporting procurement activities, including tender evaluations and contractor appointments.
Administering contracts (JCT & NEC) and managing contract changes.
Preparing and presenting financial reports to clients and stakeholders.
Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams.
Supporting, mentoring and developing junior Quantity Surveyors.About You
We're looking for someone who can confidently manage projects whilst building strong client relationships.
You'll ideally have:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
Strong experience across both pre and post-contract services.
Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive and collaborative approach.
Education and/or commercial sector experience would be highly advantageous, although not essential.What's on Offer
